Universal AC Ultra Plus Air Conditioner Remote Control, ECU Interface
for use with Environmental Control Systems

Most ECU (Environment Control Units) systems can learn the Infrared (IR) signals from air conditioner remote controls. However Infrared remote controls that are supplied with many air conditioners behave differently to television and video remotes, which can make it very awkward to train an ECU.
Many air conditioner remotes have an LCD, a display that shows the current settings, and they emit a complicated code to ensure the status of the display and the air conditioner are synchronised.

To overcome this problem Technical Solutions has created an interface that creates a link between your Environmental Control Unit (ECU) and your air conditioner. The interface incorporates the Ultra Plus universal remote which is compatible with virtually all Australian Air Conditioners and the Interface is also compatible with most ECUs – Those that can reproduce Gewa PROG codes.

The ECU user then sends IR signals to the interface, and the remote responds as if the button on it had been physically pressed. The display on the air conditioner remote shows the status of the system correctly, as it is being used to control the air conditioner.

The Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface unit receives a simple IR signal from an ECU and activates the air conditioner remote, which in turn emits its own complex codes to operate the air conditioner.

The Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface can allow control of :

• Power On/Off,
• Temp Up, Temp Down
• And Fan functions.

Functions may vary depending on those available on the air conditioner.
