Floor Mat Alarms

The Floor Mat Alarm is based on our large (79cmx54cm) vinyl Mat Switch. The Mat Switch is normally placed on the floor beside the bed or in a door way as required.
Standing on the Mat Switch will trigger an alarm that alerts the carer. The Floor Mat Alarm can be plugged in to one of the following alert devices:

Floor Mat Alarm - Buzzer Box
Simple alert in the same room
Floor Mat Alarm - Wireless Buzzer, signal sent to a Radio Linked Buzzer in another room
Floor Mat Alarm - Pager, alert sent to a portable Pager (range up to 300 Metres)
Floor Mat Alarm - Nurse Call, Supplied with a Suitable Interface, it Connects to an Existing Nurse Call System

Perfect for home care where the wander and carer sleep in the same room. When the patient stands on the mat, a buzzer in the same room will sound the alert .The Mat Switch is be teamed with a Latching Buzzer Box.

Perfect for home care of wanders: When the patient stands on the mat, a buzzer in the carer’s room will sound the alert. The Mat Switch is be teamed with a Radio Linked Call Buzzer. The buzzer has a range of up to 30 metres, the Wireless Call Pager is recommended if a range greater than 30 Metres is required.

Supported Accommodation

In situations where multiple patients/clients are being cared for, the Apollo Alphanumeric Pager Receiver PRX-AL924 can give the carer more patient specific information.
eg. it can be programmed to display the room/bed number when a patient stands on the mat.

The Transmitters and Receivers are purchased in sets of two or more and are preprogrammed in coded sets as per your requirements.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON FALL PREVENTION:
In practice this mat switch should be covered with some form of protection mat. In order to reduce the risk of falls, the protector should be non-slip and sit flat on the floor. The protector will also protect the mat switch from sharp objects.

Wireless Call Buzzer

The Wireless Call Buzzer sounds the alarm when the patient stands on the mat. The Unit is portable and can be plugged into a power point at the nurses station, carers sleep-over room, living room, etc. In larger buildings where the carer/s have to cover a large area, the Call Buzzer - Receiver Unit can be moved about as required or multiple Receiver Units can be positioned around the building. The range of the buzzer will be dependent on environmental factors. The Call Buzzer has two modes of operation:
Instant - The buzzer will sound only while the call switch is pressed.
Latch - The buzzer will start when the call switch is pressed and keep buzzing till the carer resets it.

Floor Mat Alarms to suit Nurse Call Systems

Supplied with an appropriate adaptor, the Mat Switch, can be plugged directly into many nurse call systems - the adaptor allows the nurse call pendant to plug in as well. Either pressing the call button or standing on the Mat will trigger the nurse call alert.
