Environmental Control System:

Client: Male, early forties. Has muscular dystrophy. Ventilator dependent. Spends most of his time in an iron lung. Has full time attendant care, and therefore not concerned about controlling most conventional domestic appliances.

Devices to be operated: Telephone, Computer, Phone , Page Turner, Other mains appliances.

Switch Systems The only viable access method was with the tongue, so we designed and made a two way switch with extremely light action. The switch had to be mounted onto the iron lung, and be removable easily.
