This is the cheapest and simplest method of providing multiple (non scanning) switch access to infra red remote appliances. Up to six switches can be plugged in to give basic control of televisions and other remote control appliances. In the example pictured, one Jellybean switch can operate the TV power button - add a second switch, plugged into the channel up function and the user can scroll through the channels. (Switch/es required - EXTRA)
TV REMOTE SWITCH INTERFACE: SAURC
Our Television Controller provides a simple method for single switch users to operate remote control televisions.
A specially designed scanning system selects on/off, volume up/down, and up to 5 different channels. The Television Controller can be 'taught' to emulate the original remote supplied with most televisions.

SCANNING TV CONTROLLER: TVCONT
(Switch required - EXTRA)
Here the Television Controller is being operated with one of our sensitive Plate Switches. Simply press the switch to control a television - see below.
The first switch press 'wakes' up the unit, and a scan commences across the top 3 lights on the panel. (Each light is colour coded for easy use in a dim room.)
If the switch is pressed again while the light corresponding to the on/off function is lit, the system will activate the remote control, and the TV will from on to off or visa versa.
If the switch is pressed while either the volume or channel lights are on, a second sub-scan will commence, offering a choice of up or down.
A further switch selection will cause the volume to ramp up or down, or the channel to step up or down through the first 5 tuning selections of the television.
If no switch is pressed, the system reverts back to the top scan, and shortly after switches back to standby.
