X10 Modules

These X10 Appliance or Lamp Modules plug into a normal power point. They listen for instructions from your X10 TRANSCEIVER MODULE, and then switch on/off anything you have plugged into them.

X10 Appliance Modules - AM240

These plug into a normal power point to provide remote on/off control of the power point. Lamps, fans, heaters, etc can be plugged in, switched on, and controlled as if the power point was being switched on & off.

You can switch on a bed lamp from in bed, or turn off a fan plugged into a power point across the room. Because each module can be set to a unique number, you can use many modules to control a variety of appliances, and operate each one individually. The Appliance Modules have a 10A rating, which means they can switch most domestic appliances that are designed to plug into a standard power point.
One module will be required for each appliance.

X10 Lamp Modules

These plug into a normal power point to provide remote on/off as well as dimming control of bed, table or pedestal lamps. They can only be used with standard incandescent lamps.
Provides dimming as well as on/off control.
Note that flourescent or energy saver lamps should be controlled with the Appliance Module above.

Wired in Appliance Modules

Wired in modules can be used to control all wired in lights - including flourescent or energy saver lamps.

Wired in modules can also be used in some cases to provide on/off control of ceiling fans, heating and cooling systems. They must be installed by a qualified electrician.
(Another alternative for PROG 3 users is to install heating and cooling systems with remote controls but note that it must be Infrared not radio remote control)

Wired in Lamp Modules

Wired in modules are the best way to control wired in lights as the main light switch can still be used. They must be installed by a qualified electrician. They can only be used with standard (dimmable) incandescent lamps. Provides dimming as well as on/off control.

X-10 LAMP SOCKET ROCKET

For wired in lights. Simply unplug your globe, plug in the Lamp SOCKET ROCKET Module and plug your globe back in. Note that the main light switch must be left turned on at all times and this may prove inconvenient.
