Assistive Technology
Technical Solutions specialises in Electronic Assistive Technology for people with disabilities. We design and manufacture our own equipment and source products world wide. We also provide a service adapting toys, computers and other devices to improve accessibility.
Our workshops are not limited to disability equipment. Systems we've developed include equipment for theatrical productions, animated displays, traffic control, playground rides, remote environmental monitoring and solar panel tracking. We get lots of calls about interesting projects!

Our research and development team specialises in developing or adapting technology to improve and expand our range of assistive products - giving our clients more control over their environment and their lives.
Consulting Service
Our consulting service incorporates a team approach to client care. We work with clients, their support team and professionals to design individualised systems. We do much more than equipment sales - Technical Solutions creates custom packages to suit Individual needs.
Assistive Technology Training
We provide lectures and practical workshops for therapists, Occupational Therapy students, and disability workers. Many Occupational Therapy schools don't have the resources for a dedicated staff member, so our casual services can fill the gap. Lectures and workshops are tailored to the specific institution's need.
Our History
Our origin in 1985 seems a long time ago! We have since developed and grown to be recognised as a leading Australian supplier of Sensory and Environment Control Equipment, as well as equipment for Communication and Aged Care - including Special Intercoms, Call and Patient Monitoring Systems.
We are proud of our history of finding technical solutions to ‘unsolvable’ and individual needs, and as we move beyond our 25th year, we are pleased to be able to offer an even greater range of products to further enhance our comprehensive service.
Manufacturing
Technical Solutions designs and manufactures equipment in one-off and volume runs, as well as sourcing from other manufacturers. We welcome inquiries about individual needs - if we can't help directly, we can usually put you in touch with someone who can.
We don't limit our activities to pure electronics. Our workshop is set up to work with wood, plastic, metal and fibreglass. We do in-house vacuum forming, screen printing, industrial sewing, metal work and machining. These in-house facilities make one-off jobs easy, and allow us to keep a tight control over product quality and time schedules.
